(Blog) "I Love Purple Cow" by Oliver Picher, posted Friday, July 27th, 2007

"...Do you need an idea to come to a Purple Cow Brainstorming Session? No, but it certainly helps.  I made the commitment to attend without an idea in mind, but then I had a middle-of-the-night inspiration about creating a directory of local Philadelphia networking groups. The response to my idea at my first meeting gave me the momentum to create the PHLnetworking wiki. My second Purple Cow session has connected me with people who are planning similar resource directories, so maybe something even larger and stronger will come from collaborating with them."

Email from Joe Cesa, Social Entrepreneur | Owner, Joe Coffee Bar, posted July 25th, 2007

"I opened this morning and a customer (who's here from out of town) said he stopped in last night and observed the goings-on.  He told me how impressed he was with your group and my cafe' opening to community events like this.  He said he liked that people in Philly seemed open to sharing, growing, assisting each other and may contact you to try to duplicate it when he returns home (his observations walking/reading posters & local newspapers/listening-in on others' conversations )."

"It's great when there's a group of enthusiastic smiling people interacting inside joe--it's what I wanted to happen often when I planned the space.  Thanks for being a small part of my dream, and hope your enthusiasm, ideas and energy stay and impregnate MORE Philadelphians!"

(Blog) "Networking at Work" by Todd Cohen, posted Wednesday, July 25th, 2007

"...What struck me the most was the amazing cross section of people, what they do for a living and the ideas they brought.... There were people there who can help me and more importantly who I can help. I think we all have to remember that one key idea of networking is to generously listen and help. Networking is a 2 way street..."

"... the event was a TON of fun. I met some cool people who were totally into Independents Hall, and got a chance to hear some other peoples’ good ideas. It’s so great to see that other people are cranking out good ideas here in Philly..."

(Blog)  "How do you go from Start to Success?" by Valeria Maltoni, posted Monday, March 26th, 2007

"...Instead of trying to recruit others to help me, I set out to figure out how to recruit myself to help others... I sought and found another way to get new blood in.  Jen Lim, a young and up and coming professional communicator, contacted me to inquire about having Seth Godin facilitate a conversation with us in Philadelphia. The reason why she was asking: she had just launched a Purple Cow Brainstorming Circle to help people flesh out ideas and figure out ways to execute them. Instead of diluting myself and trying to pursue that angle, as well as the large events I love organizing, I suggested that we bring the group within..."
